Elector PSP is an excellent lice and mite treatment for poultry. It is harmless (when used as directed, avoid getting into eyes, etc.) to both chickens and humans. This treatment kills the bug and their eggs in one treatment. It is rare to need a second treatment but might be necessary in extreme cases after 10 days to ensure the infestation is gone.

There is also NO EGG WITHDRAWAL required while using Elector PSP.

Elector PSP should be applied directly onto the chickens’ skin either by using a spray bottle to spray directly onto the skin, or by making a bath and dipping the chicken (just up to their neck, do not get their face wet), and then gently use a towel to absorb the excess off the feathers.

To prevent re-infestation, it is important to thoroughly clean out the coop. Remove old bedding and nesting pads. Spray the whole coop, focusing on perch bars and nesting boxes where chickens spend extend periods of time. Then add back fresh new bedding and nesting pads.

TO USE:

Shake very well, then add the Elector PSP to one gallon of water.

Shake well before and during use to prevent the product from settling.

Add the solution to a spray bottle or garden sprayer to spray directly onto the chicken’s skin, making sure that the skin gets wet, especially under the wings and around the neck. Be sure to wet the feathers and skin around the vent area, as it is common for lice to lay their eggs there, as well as the crests of crested breed chickens.

Treat the entire flock to prevent re-infestation, as mites and lice can spread easily.

Treating the flock is easier after dark when they have gone to roost. This will minimize stress and make it easier to catch them, rather than chasing them in the daylight.
